Thank you for all the good information that has been compiled here. I have never owned a pot belly pig, but became very interested in them when I visited the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab Utah. Yvonne McIntosh, the manager of Piggy Paradise, educated me and now I try to help educate others. I have been in dog/cat rescue for many years so I am familiar with ignorance of all kinds. Now I'm familiar with "pignorance". I shared this link with someone who said their friend was going to start breeding "teacup" pot belly pigs. Lord help us all!! I hope you won't mind but, I would like to use your information to educate others on my Facebook page.

Keep up the good work on this website! Glad to hear theses critters are literally the victims of scammers and theses tiny guys do not really exist. So terrible that people get stuck with them as the pigs are the true victims.

I was considering buying a teacup pig with my boyfriend, as we were both captivated by how adorable and different they are. After doing some research and finding your site, we discovered our city's bylaw does not allow pigs as pets in the urban residential areas (considers them livestock) and we realized they are a big commitment given their life span and eventual size! It's sad that people purchase pets like kittens or puppies without fully understanding they all grow up eventually--and then they don't want to care for the animal anymore! Great site, thanks for the insight and keep up the fantastic work!

I only recently heard about "tea cup pigs" from a friend who works at a large animal hospital, naturally i am inquizative so I had to look them up. As a horse owner I was interested until my friend told me about the horror stories she saw at work. Keep up the good work informing the public about the "mini pigs"

thank you for sharing this information with the public. Hopefully, people will understand that pigs cannot be kept small by feeding them tiny amounts of food and that they only fit in teacups when they are born!!!!However, I have my own opinion on the Martha Stewart clip as I believe given the proper environment, they do make wonderful pets (btw - I have three) :)
